Florida officials took action after receiving reports of a 13-foot alligator seen carrying human remains in Ridgecrest, Florida. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to the area near 134th Avenue North and 121st Street, with assistance from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The alligator was "humanely killed" in response to the reports. Witnesses confirmed the presence of a body in the alligator's mouth, with one individual capturing the scene on video and reporting it to the authorities. The incident left residents shocked, as they had not expected to encounter such a situation in their neighborhood.
